Sultan Al Neyadi, an Emirati Astronaut to go to space, has completed his first month
aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Sultan has been conducting experiments
and taking part in scientific research with his fellow astronauts from around the world.
During his first month in space, Sultan has carried out a range of experiments on
microgravity, plant growth, and radiation. He has also spoken to students and
researchers back home in the UAE via video link, sharing his experiences and insights
about life in space. Recently, Sultan has been part of a research project aboard the
International Space Station which will help experts develop a drug to cure Type-2
Diabetes.
Sultan's hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. Just last week, he was
awarded the prestigious NASA Golden Pin for his outstanding performance during his
mission. The NASA Golden Pin is a symbol of excellence and achievement in the field of
space exploration.
The UAE has made significant strides in the field of space exploration in recent years,
with the successful launch of several satellites and the establishment of the UAE Space
Agency. Sultan's mission is a crucial step in the country's efforts to develop its space
industry and inspire the next generation of scientists and explorers.
There is more to come from Emirati Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi space adventure. He is all set to
perform a spacewalk out of the International Space Station. Sultan will be the first ever
Arab astronaut to perform this, making UAE the 10th nation with a space walking citizen.
The astronaut was launched from NASA’S Kennedy Space Center in Florida in March and
will remain aboard the ISS for six months.
